Bread & Dripping
I am afraid I will have to whisper this month’s delight. Wednesday night for the older boys in my time involved a trip to the scullery to be presented with a thick slice of bread smothered in beef dripping. How did we let the thought police remove this delicacy from our menus? I am running out of memories here so need some help. Suggestions on Tapioca will however be ignored.

Re: Bread & dripping
I remember 'bread & dripping', in Nelson dorm at bedtime. It was deemed to be a real treat. Not a slice each but divided up between us like rations.
